December was filled with lots of Christmas parties and celebrations. Here are a few of the highlights from our busy month...
ALLEN WHITE ELEPHANT PARTY
All the adults (except my kids...because it was at our house) came over for soups, salad, and breadsticks and then the hilarious white elephant gift exchange!

Let the laughter begin! We had some good ones this year..."poopouri" spray, the triple "D" bra...that has been passed around for years...
Jason stole these onsie Jammies from Mark and Megan...but he was a little disappointed when he realized they didn't fit...
...but the funniest by far, was my Dad's gift..."dirty underwear" (not really...but a good fake)! We all laughed sooo hard...and laughed even harder when we heard the story of my mom and dad making the masterpiece!

CHRISTMAS PARTY WITH THE LYBBERTS
We love our good friends, the Lybberts...and have made it a tradition to get together for a night of fun. We decided to go to Rumbi's for dinner and then we were supposed to go to Temple Square to see the lights...but it was a cold, windy night...so we decided to go to Thanksgiving Point instead and stay in our warm cars to drive through the Christmas lights. After, we came back to my house to make candy trains and do our gift exchange. It was a super fun night!
Emery made Mallory a BFF book with pictures of them together...it turned out so cute...and they had fun looking at their books together.

ALLEN FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY
My parents now have 14 grandkids...and 1 on the way! When you figure that my 3 are the oldest...it makes for a night of crazy, chaotic fun! Here are most of the kiddos! We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a yummy Christmas dinner, a little Christmas program, and a gift exchange! It is definitely chaotic...but so much fun!
My mom is this amazing hostess and gourmet cook...so everything is always sooo good and perfect!

We always play out the whole manger scene and story of baby Jesus...the kids love it...at least the ones who are old enough to listen and cooperate! :)

CHRISTMAS EVE WITH THE ERSKINE'S
Jason's parents and Justin, Mariah, and Daije came over on Christmas Eve and we went out to dinner and then came back to my house for games. We played bingo with awesome prizes, LCR, and Headbanz. We had a great time!

CHRISTMAS EVE
My tree...well, I always want to get a cute, fancy tree...but I just can't part with this one. My kids love to get all their favorite ornaments that we've had around forever...including one's they've made at school, etc... and decorate the tree. They always are so excited to see them and remember where they came from or who gave it to them...so I'll always have this tree and these ornaments! Maybe one of these years I'll get a wild hair and put up 2 trees!
Of course, my kids always get to open a present on Christmas Eve...and "surprise"...it's always pajamas! :)
The stockings were hung by the chimmney with care...while Jason read a story to the kids.
We left lots of cookies and milk out for Santa...and carrots for the reindeer. Brielle and Emery wrote the sweetest notes to Santa...and wanted his autograph!
Christmas morning!
Santa spoiled the kids...once again! Caden got a mountain bike...a big surprise for him!
Brielle got her very own digital camera, case, and a digital frame!
Emery got a Unicorn and her password journal and a "real" tiara!
With church falling on a Sunday...we opened presents and then got ready for church. We are so blessed and grateful to our Savior for His sacrifices and it's always good to be reminded of the "reason for the season"! After church, we went over to Jason's parents house for breakfast and more presents.
Then, Grandma and Grandpa Allen and my Grandma Beesley came over later that afternoon for some dinner and even more presents! Did I mention my kids are spoiled? :)

After a long, exciting, yet relaxing day...my house looked like a bomb went off! Now it's time to find places for all the new stuff! Wish me luck!
